1 One year ago today, Potter Road Elementary School has a parent who tested presumptive positive for the coronavirus, and the school dismissed students and staff early. It was the first reported case of the virus in Framingham.

Today, is an early release for elementary and middle school students in the Framingham Public Schools. Tomorrow is a professional development day for staff and no school for students.

Yesterday was the one the 1-year anniversary of when Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker declared a state of emergency in the state for the coronavirus with a total of 92 cases,

Also on yesterday, Framingham surpassed 7,000 coronavirus cases in the City. That means about one out of every 10 residents has tested positive for the virus in the last year.

Today, teachers and other school staff become eligible for vaccines in the state

Starting Friday, everyone may pre-register for the vaccine in Massachusetts.

2. The City of Framingham Department of Public Works will host a virtual neighborhood meeting via Zoom on Thursday, March 11, at 6 p.m., to discuss the Blackberry Sewer Pumping Station Project.

3. The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection will hold a virtual public meeting on Thursday, March 11 to present an overview of the cleanup plans for the former General Chemical site at 7 p.m. virtually.
