Natick Mall Vaccine Clinic Opens Monday

NATICK – The Baker-Polito Administration announced earlier this month, the Natick Mall would become one of the massive vaccine sites in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for the coronavirus.

Registration for appointments at the Natick Mall opened last Thursday, February 18, and were gone quicker than concert tickets.

The vaccine clinic, which will be run by LabCorp, will begin vaccinations on Monday, February 22.

“On behalf of the residents of MetroWest, I am grateful to see a vaccination site in Natick, especially for our seniors and most vulnerable residents,” said Senate President Karen Spilka.

“It was incredible to me to look at a map and see no sites in our region, and so I pressed for one in my conversations with the Administration about the vaccine rollout. This is a matter of public health and regional equity, and so I’m glad the Administration has responded,” said Spilka, a Democrat from Ashland.

To start the Natick Mall site will vaccinate about 500 individuals a day, hoping to scale to 3,000 appointments a day, said the Baker administration.

The Commonwealth will be administering the Moderna vaccine at the Natick Mall, in the former Sears store location.

Caregivers, with seniors age 75 and older, can also make appointments at the Natick Mall, which is located on the lower level of the mall.

Natick Mall is the latest massive vaccine site under the Baker administration plan. Other sites include Gillette Stadium, Fenway Mark, and malls in Danvers and Springfield.
