Natick Mall To Become COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic Site

NATICK – The Commonwealth of Massachusetts announced the Natick Mall, managed by LabCorp, will open as a mass vaccine clinic later this month.

“On behalf of the residents of MetroWest, I am grateful to see a vaccination site in Natick, especially for our seniors and most vulnerable residents,” said Senate President Karen Spilka.

“It was incredible to me to look at a map and see no sites in our region, and so I pressed for one in my conversations with the Administration about the vaccine rollout. This is a matter of public health and regional equity, and so I’m glad the Administration has responded,” said Spilka, a Democrat from Ashland.

The scheduled opening date is February 22.

The site will start with a ceiling of 500 doses a day.

The goal is to provide up to 3,000 doses daily, depending on how many doses the state receives from the federal government.

The location of the clinic at the mall was not disclosed when the announcement was made this morning, February 9.

Eligible residents can begin booking appointments for the Natick site on February 18. Visit mass.gov/covidvaccine.

The state also announced 74,000 new appointments will be posted Thursday for mass vaccination sites and pharmacies statewide, including more than 53,000 appointments for mass vaccination sites in Springfield, Danvers, Gillette Stadium, and Fenway Park, and 50,000 at pharmacies.

The Governor also announced starting Thursday, caregivers accompanying seniors age 75 and older, may get their first dose of the vaccine at mass clinic sites only. Mass clinic sites include Gillette Stadium, Fenway Park, and the soon-to-be open Natick mall site, among other locations.
