ASHLAND – An Ashland restaurant will close proactively & temporarily after an employee tested positive for COVID-19, posted management on social media tonight, February 11.

“Mexico City Taqueria will be proactively closing until further notice as we have had an employee test positive for covid-19.We are having all staff tested immediately. We notified the Ashland Covid-19 task force and board of health. During this time, we have hired a commercial cleaning company who will be conducting a deep cleaning, disinfection, and sanitization of the restaurant. We are following all local, state and federal guidelines for covid-19 and taking these extra steps to ensure the safety of our staff, and you are valued guests,” posted the Route 135 establishment around 5 p.m.

The establishment closed for less than 24 hours back in October when an employee tested positive. It went through a deep cleaning then, too.
