NATICK – Armed with a handgun, a Worcester man was arrested and charged with armed robbery in Natick this afternoon, December 9.

Arrested was William B. Wilson, 56, of 102 Elm Street in Worcester. He was charged with armed robbery and larceny of more than $250.

UPDATE: He was held without bail.

Police said Wilson walked into the Aldi at 321 Speen street just before 12:30 wearing a face mask. Armed with a handgun, he demanded money and left with cash.

Massachusetts State Police, Framingham Police, and Weston police participated in the search, with Natick Police.

About 45 minutes after the robbery, Wilson was found near Home Depot on Speen Street in Natick.

The Aldi supermarket recently opened in Natick.
