3rd COVID Cases Tied to King Elementary; 2 Classrooms Impacted

FRAMINGHAM – A third case of COVID has been tied to King Elementary School, announced the public school district today, November 21.

The first case was announced on November 16 and the second case on November 19.

The district said in an email people who were “identified as close contacts of the person with COVID-19 have been notified and instructed to remain home in quarantine.

SOURCE has learned that close to 10 individuals are under a quarantine.

As a result, two classrooms have suspended in person learning immediately, said the district.

Students in those two classrooms will participate in remote learning starting Monday.

The anticipated return to in person learning is for December 7. for those two classrooms at the elementary school, said correspondence to staff and families.

The school district said a “member of the King community” tested positive for COVID-19.

Individuals who may have been close contacts for that individuals received a phone call from the public school district.

The district considers close contact to be within 6 feet of the person for at least 15 cumulative 15 minutes with a 24 hour period.
