NATICK The Massachusetts Department of Public Health has scheduled a public hearing to give the public an opportunity to give feedback on MetroWest Medical center’s plans to close the emergency room and surgical units at Leonard Morse Hospital in Natick, and turn the facility into a behavioral health center.
In January, SOURCE broke the news that MetroWest Medical Center planned to close the Leonard Morse Hospital’s emergency room, intensive care, and surgical units.

All of those services would take place at Framingham Union Hospital, with Leonard Morse becoming a specialty center dedicated to mental health.
The public hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, March 18 at 6 p.m. at the Wilson Middle School in Natick.

If the state approved the plan, Leonard MorseHospital could close as 60 days after that public hearing.
