FRAMINGHAM – Despite Framingham being in the high-risk category for COVID-19, fall baseball will happen.

The Framingham Baseball League (FBL) is looking to start their fall season just after Labor Day.

The League will be conducting 4 levels of in town play this fall.

Rookie/Class A, for ages 5-8, will be mostly instructional, with casual games played. Majors, from ages 8-11, and Intermediate, for ages 11-13, will be developmental leagues with competitive games and playoffs. Babe Ruth, for ages 13-17, will be competitive games in a competitive league with playoffs at Long Field.

Registration for all these leagues can be found at framinghambaseball.org.

Rookie/Class A costs $95 for registration, Majors and Intermediate are priced at $150, and Babe Ruth will be $175.

COVID guidelines will still have to be followed, and will be enforced through the course of the season.

Some of the guidelines include no more than two players in the dugout at the same time, no sharing of equipment in between players, no handshakes/contact celebrations, use of PPE while at the field, social distancing guidelines, and more.

The full list of rules is also available at framinghambaseball.org.
