City of Framingham Announces 3 More COVID-19 Deaths; Total 117

FRAMINGHAM – Today, July 6, the City of Framingham announced seven residents have tested positive for COVID-19.

The City also announced three more COVID-19 deaths, for a total of 117 since the pandemic began.

There have been a total of 1,740 coronavirus cases in the City of Framingham in 2020.

Despite the slow down in cases compared to April, Framingham is still one of the top 12 communities in the state with coronavirus cases. Framingham ranks 14th in the state for the population.

The good news is 1,489 individuals have recovered.

In addition to the active cases, the Framingham Health Department currently is following 76 residents in quarantine.

There are more than 70,000 residents in the City of Framingham.

So roughly, 2.5% of the city tested positive for the virus.

The City announced last month instead of daily updates on the coronavirus, it will now only provide updates on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
