This week, MetroWest Medical Center joins healthcare organizations nationwide in celebrating National Cardiac Rehabilitation Week, observed February 8–14 during American Heart Month. The week recognizes the vital role cardiac rehabilitation programs play in helping patients recover from cardiac events and improve their long-term heart health.

Pictured here are Heather Chelak, Clinical Exercise Physiologist; Casey Novelline, Exercise Physiologist; and Shauna Tuohey, Supervisor of Cardiac Rehab—part of our dedicated Cardiac Rehab team who work closely with patients to provide supervised exercise, education, and lifestyle support. Their guidance helps patients regain strength, improve cardiovascular fitness, and maintain a heart-healthy lifestyle.

Cardiac rehab is about more than exercise.  It’s about empowering patients to take charge of their health and supporting them every step of the way. We are proud of our team’s commitment and the positive impact they have on the lives of our patients. The week is a perfect time to celebrate their dedication and the resilience of the patients they care for.
