Barbara E. (Delorey) Fegan Janiak

Barbara E. (Delorey) Fegan Janiak, was born in Boston, MA, on November 13, 1929. She passed peacefully on July 10, 2025 at the age of 95. Barbara was the daughter of Joseph A. and Mary Lillian (Clancy) Delorey. She was a graduate of St. Gregory’s High School in Dorchester, MA. She was the wife of the late William H. Fegan, Jr. and the late Theodore Janiak. She worked most of her life at Raytheon, Holmes Transportation, Methods Machine and St. Patrick’s Manor.

Barbara is survived by her children, Michael and his ex-wife Jeanne, Lawrence, Gary and his wife Susan DeRoche, and Ann and her husband William Nicholson, as well as her Janiak step-children Andrew, Peter, and Ann. She is a Grandmother to Kevin, Nicole, Michelle, Ian, Shannon, Sarah and Erin and a Great-Grandmother to thirteen children. She also has many Nieces and Nephews from her late sisters, Dorothy O’Neil, Eleanor (Elinor) Sullivan, Marjorie Szum, Anne Buschini, and Margaret Erlandson.

Barbara enjoyed cooking, traveling, reading, music and dancing. What she cherished most was gathering with family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to honor and remember Barbara’s life by gathering for a time of visitation in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home on Monday morning July 28th from 8:30-9:30AM. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Bridget Church, 830 Worcester Rd. Framingham at 10 o’clock. Interment will follow in Edgell Grove Cemetery, Framingham.
