Jean Ellen (Hall) Ordway, 78, died peacefully and comfortably at her residence in Framingham on Saturday, February 15, 2025 surrounded by her family.

She was born in Natick on July 10, 1946, the daughter of the late Eugene R. Hall and Marjorie C. (Merriam) Hall.

Jean was the beloved wife for 51 years of the late James W. Ordway, Jr. who died on October 3, 2022. She is survived by her devoted and loving children James W. Ordway, III of Framingham, Jodi J. Horrigan and her husband Patrick of Framingham, and Julie R. Morin and her husband Ross of Hudson. She was the very proud Mimi of Casey, Brianna, and Ryan Horrigan of Framingham and Avery and Connor Morin of Hudson. She was the sister of Raymond “Ray” Hall of Beaverton, OR and the late June K. Hall who died in December of 2009. She was also a loving Aunt to a niece and four nephews.

Jean has been a resident of Framingham for over 50 years, spent her formative years in Natick and graduated from Natick High School. For many years, she was an underwriter for insurance policies with Lynch Associates of Wellesley. She also had a wonderful career as a Retail Associate with Zayre and Sears before retiring.

Jean enjoyed traveling, spending time at the casino, and the many good times with family and friends. She particularly loved every minute that she was able to be with her grandchildren who were the center of her life. Jean will be remembered for her kindness to all that knew and loved her over the years.

Visitations will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (off Rte, 30), Wayland.

Her funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 10:30 am. Interment will follow in the Ordway family lot in Lakeview Cemetery in Wayland.
