Carol A. (Doucette) Roche, 67, a longtime resident of Framingham, passed away peacefully at home, on Saturday morning, September 21, 2024. Born in Melrose, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Alice (Ellis) Doucette, and the beloved wife of John J. Roche.

Raised and educated in Wakefield, Carol was a graduate of Wakefield Memorial High School class of ’75. She spent many years working at Sealtest/Breyers Ice Cream where she met her husband, John.

Carol was incredibly kind and generous and she loved to laugh.  She and John frequented the Eagles Club and she always went out of her way to talk to everyone there and got involved where she could. She enjoyed the beach, and loved music, especially Aerosmith. She also loved the Patriots, Red Sox and the Boston Bruins. Carol enjoyed watching eagle cams and nature shows and her many cats.

Carol was a beloved wife, sister, stepmom, aunt and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.  Besides her cherished husband John, Carol is survived by John’s children, Jay & Dawn Roche of So. Plymouth, Kerri & Adam Dean of FL, her sisters Cynthia Tolley of ME, Janet O’Brien of Salem, her sister in law, Cheryl  & Patrick Ducharme of VT, her nephews, Shawn & Cecilia Werder of AL, Tom O’Brien of Salem, and Dan & Jillian O’Brien of Reading, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her best friend, Lisa Travis,.

Besides her parents, Carol was predeceased by her sisters, Nancy Werder, and Susan Doucette, her step son, Tim Roche, and her dear friend Nola Clark.

Family and friends can honor and remember Carol’s life by gathering for a time of visitation in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St. Framingham on Tuesday morning, October 1st beginning at 11 am.  Her funeral service will begin at 1 o’clock.  Interment will be private.  A reception will follow at the Eagle’s Club, 55 Park St. Framingham.
