Sharon Arroyo, RN, a retired employee of MWMC’s ICU/Nursing Supervisor for 40+ years, makes small quilts for the Special Care Nursery babies in our Beautiful Beginnings Birth Center. Sharon has also been making comfort care blankets for our adult patients. She does this several times a year. The baby quilts are used to cover the top of the isolette to shield the light. When the parents visit and the baby comes out of the isolette, they are wrapped and held by their parents in the quilt. The blanket then goes home with the baby. We appreciate her doing this for our neonate population as well as what she does for our adult patients. Thank you Sharon!
