“It’s no secret that Framingham State faces an extremely challenging enrollment environment,” said Framingham State University President Nancy S. Niemi. “Iris brings expert knowledge of the Massachusetts higher education landscape, having led enrollment teams at both private and public institutions in the Commonwealth. I’m thrilled to have her join our team at FSU and confident she will help us. strengthen our role as the premiere public college in the region proudly serving the common good.”
Prior to overseeing enrollment at Dean College, Godes served as the Assistant Vice President of Enrollment Management at Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester. Godes says a desire to get back into public higher education was a motivating factor in applying for the position at FSU.

“The opportunity to be able to offer students a more affordable path to higher education is really attractive to me,” she says. “We know that fewer prospective students are accessing higher education. I hope to help promote the value of affordable higher education.”

“I know Framingham, and I know Framingham schools and the entire MetroWest region,” she
said. “I have a lot of connections in the area and look forward to tapping into the larger community to raise awareness of everything FSU has to offer.”

“Framingham State University is a great university,” said Godes. “There is no reason we shouldn’t see a lot of success over the next few years with our enrollment.”
