FRAMINGHAM – Firefighters extinguished a truck fire on Route 135 this morning, October 31.

Framingham Fire Engine 3 responded to a motor vehicle fire, in the area of 176 Waverly Street, just after 9 a.m., said Framingham Fire Chief Michael Dutcher.

“Engine 3 arrived and found a fully involved motor vehicle fire with fire in the engine and cab compartment of a 1500 Chevy Silverado,” said Chief Dutcher.

“Engine 3 made quick work, extinguishing the fire within minutes,” said the Fire Chief.

Cause of the fire is currently under investigation by Framingham Fire Prevention Division and Framingham Police, said Chief Dutcher.

Framingham Police are also are investigating the incident, said its spokesperson.

Traffic was detoured for a short period this morning due to the vehicle fire.
