UPDATED: 5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: Wednesday, March 14

1 There is no school day for students in Framingham. 

The planned student-led walkout at Framingham High will not take place today. Student organizers would like to hold it on March 21.

UPDATE: The planned Framingham High athletic letter night has been rescheduled to Tuesday, March 20 at 7 p.m. No food will be served.


2. Trash will be collected, but will be on a one-day delayed schedule due to no trash collection on Tuesday during the Blizzard of 2018.

Municipal offices will open on a 2-hour delay, that includes the Memorial Building, the libraries, and the Callahan Center.


3. The City of Framingham will hold a financial summit tonight at 7 in Nevins Hall in the Memorial Building. The public is invited.


4.   City of Framingham meetings:

  • Framingham Cable Advisory Committee has a meeting at 7 in the Memorial Building tonight.
  • Framingham Parks & Recreation has a meeting at 7 tonight at 475 Union Avenue.


5. UPDATED: Mayor Yvonne Spicer was scheduled to speak at UMass Club in Boston tonight at 4:30, as part of a roundtable of mayors, sponsored by the Massachusetts Municipal Association, but the event has been postponed.
