Burgess Finishes 7th, Swallow 15th in Division I Indoor Track and Field State Meet

ROXBURY – Framingham High senior Andrew Swallow finished in 15th place overall in the shot put at the Division 1 indoor track and field state meet at the Reggie Lewis Center in Roxbury Crossing.

Swallow’s threw the shot put 45-feet, 10.25-inches. Senior Tom Aicardi of Boston College High School won the event with a throw of 54-feet, 8.5-inches.

Framingham High junior Ben Burgess finished in 7th place overall in the 2-mile race at the state meet. His time was apersonal best of 9:45 minutes.

St. John’s High School seniors Josh Rahn and Patrick Craermer finished 1-2 in the 2-mile race. The winning time was 9:22.64 minutes. Newton North senior Andrew Mah finished third in 9:28.07 minutes.

The Framingham High Flyers finished tied for 28th place at the Divsion 1 indoor track and field meet.

The “top 3 in divisional meets go to all-states, and the next 9 best results beyond that from all divisions,” explained head coach Chris Collins.
