3 Finalists Announced For Stapleton Elementary Principal; Meet Candidates Tonight

FRAMINGHAM –  Framingham Public Schools announced yesterday, February 7, three finalists for Stapleton Elementary School Principal.

Tonight, parents can meet the three finalists.

A Screening Committee identified the three finalists to replace Amy Bright, who was promoted to the district’s Director of Elementary Education.

The finalists are Athol Community Elementary School Assistant principal Anne Diaz, Henry Warren School Assistant principal Amy S. McDonald, and Stefanie Reinhorn, a consultant.

Diaz is assistant principal at Athol Community Elementary School, where she has served in this role since 2015. Prior to that, she worked as a teacher and
library media specialist in the Quabbin Regional School District. A graduate of Becker College, she earned her Master in Education from Cambridge College.

McDonald is currently an assistant principal at Warren School in Ashland. Having begun her career in education as a kindergarten teacher in the Boston Public
Schools, she also served as a Principal in Boston’s James W. Hennigan School and John D. Philbrick School. A graduate of Hobart and William Smith Colleges, she received her Master in Education from Boston College and her CAGS in Educational Administration from the University of Massachusetts in Boston.

Reinhorn is currently a lead consultant at Instructional Rounds in Education Consulting and an Instructional Rounds Institute Faculty Co-Chair/faculty member at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Having begun her career in education as an elementary teacher in Wampus Elementary School in Armonk, New York as well as in the Colegio Internacional de Carabobo in Venezuela, she also worked as a teacher, Coordinator K-8 Math, District Middle School Math Coach, and Instructional Coach & Professional Learning Facilitator in the Boston Public Schools. A graduate of Princeton University, she received a Master in Elementary Education from Manhattanville College, a Master in Education, Policy and Management from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and her doctorate in Education Policy, Leadership, and Instructional Practice from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

A “Meet the Candidates” faculty and staff forum will take place today, February 8 at the Stapleton cafeteria from 3:30 to 5:10 p.m.

A “Meet the Candidates” parent/community forum will take place on today at Stapleton Elementary from 6:30 to 8:10 p.m.

Parents and community members will be asked for feedback regarding each candidate after the meeting.

Superintendent Bob Tremblay reads every person’s feedback form, said an email to parents about tonight’s forum.

This is a tremendous opportunity for the Stapleton community to share their voice, said the email.

It is not only an opportunity for us to meet the principal candidates but for them to meet the Stapleton Community as well, said the email.

Tremblay is expected to name a new principal at the end of February or the beginning of March.
