Wildcats Defeat Flyers 3-2 on ‘You Can Play’ Night

FRAMINGHAM – Tonight, the Flyers held a game in support of the you can play project, which works to ensure safety and inclusion for all who participate in sports, including LGBTQ athletes, coaches, and fans.

The girls had pride tape on their sticks, and all of the girls signed the you can play projects pledge.

In the first period, Weymouth scored three goals on goalie Kallea Whitney-Blaire.

The second period was an intense period and ended with both teams scoring no goals.

At the start of the third period the score was still 3-0 Weymouth.

With 8 minutes left in the third period Georgia Parker scored a goal, on an assist from Melany Cotta and Caroline Stacey.

This was sophomore Georgia Parkers 50th point in two years of high school hockey.

Three minutes later, Tess Lawson scored on an assist from Georgia Parker.

The score was now 3-2 Weymouth.

The Flyers played hard in the third period and ended up pulling goalie Kallea Whitney-Blaire.

Despite the flyers efforts the final score of the game was 3-2 Weymouth.

Framingham is now 4-6 on the season, under head coach Mitch Mortali.

Parker is the team’s leading scorer with 8 goals and 14 assists.

Senior captain Ava Lopez is right behind her with 9 goals (most on the team) and 11 assists.
