Seeto and Burgess Win in Flyers Loss to Tigers

DORCHESTER – The Framingham High boys indoor track team lost to Newton North yesterday at the Reggie Lewis Center in Dorchester.

The Flyers lost 18-82.

The Flyers are no 0-3 this season.

Framingham’s junior captain Ben Burgess won the 1,00-meter race in 2:39.22 minutes. His time qualified him for the state meet, said head coach Chris Collins.

Junior Nick Seeto won the 55-meter dash in 6.87 seconds.

Other highlights yesterday included:

Senior Andrew Swallow finished second in the shot put competition with a throw of 45-feet 3.5 inches.

Senior captain Nathan Halberstadt finished second in the hurdles in 9.47 seconds.

Framingham junior James Draughn finished third in the high jump with a leap of 5-feet 5-inches.

Junior Vasanth Prabakaran finished third in the long jump for Framingham with a leap of 17-feet 8.5 inches.

“Vasanth also ran a 39.30 in the JV 300 posting our second best time this season,” said Collins. “He is quickly becoming a rising star for us.”
