BOSTON – The National Weather Service records snowfall totals after each storm.
The Service uses trained spotters, ham radio operators, the media, and the public to record totals.
After today’s storm, a ham radio operator recorded 2.4 inches of snow in Framingham, as of 11 a.m.
Dracut had the highest total in Middlesex County with 5.1 inches.
Chestfield, in western Massachusetts, had the most in the Commonwealth with 7 inches.
Logan airport in East Boston recorded 1.7 inches of snow as of 1 p.m. today.
