Winter Storm Warning Issued For Framingham; 6-12 Inches Forecasted For Thursday

FRAMINGHAM – The first snow storm of 2018 will hit Framingham and MetroWest Thursday, and it could deliver as much as a foot of snow.

The National Weather Service issued a Winter Storm Warning for Framingham from 1 a.m. Thursday to 1 a.m. Friday.

The MetroWest area is expected to received 6 to 10 inches of snow, according to the National Weather Serrvice, but one of the Boston TV stations is forecasting as much as 12-15 inches for the area.

Heavy snow is epxected,a nd some bands of snow could rop up to 1-2 inches of snow per hour during the storm.

That means there may be significant reductions in visibility at times.

A Winter Storm Warning for snow means severe winter weather conditions are expected.

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
