5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: Monday, December 18

1 The Massachusetts Health Connector will hold a ‘Day of Coverage‘ today with activities across the Commonwealth designed to get people enrolled prior to the deadline for coverage that begins in the new year. They will make a stop in Framingham around lunch time.

“We want families and individuals to start the new year right, with the peace of mind that comes from being covered, and encourage people to sign up by December 23,” said Louis Gutierrez, Executive Director of the Health Connector. “Our Day of Coverage will also let people know that, despite the federal marketplace ending Open Enrollment, Massachusetts remains open for enrollments through January 23.”

Massachusetts Open Enrollment runs through January 23. However, individuals who wish to start the new year with coverage must complete their enrollment by Dec. 23. Residents can sign up for coverage at www.MAhealthconnector.org, over the phone at 1-877-MA-ENROLL (1-877-623-6765), or in person through a local navigator organization.
