FRAMINGHAM – Former Boston Celtics player Brian Scalabrine read the holiday classic Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer to about 80 first graders at Wilson Elementary School in Framingham today, December 5.

The current NBC broadcaster and former NBA player was at the school as part of a promotion with Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Musical, coming to the Shubert Theatre Dec. 14-17.

The show has partnered with PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center to educate parents and children about how we can celebrate our differences during the holiday season.

Locally, the show has partnered with Boston vs Bullies and teamed up with Scalabrine to spread bullying prevention messages to local children using the holiday classic story, “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” and “T.E.A.M. Rudolph” a new story of how the Reindeer Games became a celebration of acceptance and inclusion.
