UPDATED: 5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: Monday, November 27

1  J &  M Diner will re-open at its new location off Route 9 in Framingham today at 6 a.m. The diner will be open 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 50 Worcester Road.

The diner was one of several businesses destroyed in a fire in March.



2. The Framingham School Building Committee will be hosting a collaborative workshops with the community for the Fuller Middle School Building Project. This is the second of two workshops held this month. Tonight’s workshop will focus on construction alternatives, said Ed Gotgart, who is the Executive Director of Business Operations for the Framingham Public Schools. The workshop is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. at Fuller Middle School’s library. The public is invited to attend.


3. After the Fuller workshop, members of the newly-elected City of Framingham School Committee are scheduled to meet with Framingham Superintendent of Schools Bob Tremblay to discuss issues within the public school district.  The new 9-member School Committee will not be sworn in until January 1.



4.  Expect delays on Fountain Street tonight into Tuesday, as crews will be performing utility work from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.



5. Today is the last day to apply for a spot on Team Framingham 2018.


Plan ahead: Both the Framingham School Committee and Framingham Selectmen are scheduled to meet on Tuesday, November 28 at 7 p.m. School Committee will meet at King Elementary School. Selectmen are scheduled to meet at the Memorial Building.
