UPDATED: 5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: Tuesday, November 21

 

1 Framingham Department of Public Works will conduct a curbside leaf collection this week. There will be no trash and leaf collection on Thursday – Thanksgiving.

 

2. The first meeting of the Framingham City Council’s subcommittee on rules is scheduled for tonight at 7 in the Memorial Building.

City Council Chair Dennis Giombetti appointed Judy Grove, George King, and Pam Richardson to the subcommittee which is tasked to identify rules for the new 11-member Framingham City Council. King will be chair of the subcommittee.

The subcommittee will present its recommendation to the full Council on December 6.

 

3. Players, parents, and the community can meet Framingham High’s two new varsity lacrosse coaches tonight at the High School in room H100 at 7 p.m. Athletic Director Paul Spear announced a new girls lacrosse coach and a new boys lacrosse coach last week.

 

4. November is National Entrepreneurship Month and today, Nov. 21 is National Entrepreneurship Day.

 

5. Framingham Public Schools will close early on Wednesday, November 22 for the Thanksgiving break. No lunch will be served tomorrow. No school on Thurday and Friday. Students and staff have a 4-day weekend.
