FRAMINGHAM – Laura (Jose) Martinelli, 95, a longtime Framingham resident died Friday, November 17, 2017 surrounded by her family.
Born in Milford, she was the daughter of the late Alipio & Maria (Calvao) Jose, and the beloved wife of the late Geno J. Martinelli.
A graduate of Framingham High School, she was a kind, and generous soul known for her love of sweets, music, and vacationing with her daughters and daughter-in-law. She enjoyed the simpler things in life, coffee with friends, a car ride on a rainy day, and maintaining her home on Burdette Avenue.
Throughout the years she became a true matriarch to her family and loved nothing more than spending time with her four children, Judy Cotton & her husband Don of Holliston, Shelly Capen & her husband Fred of Mashpee, Bob & his wife Michele of Milford, and Lisa Ventre of Framingham, her grandchildren, Derek, Bryan, Adam, Kevin, Jared, Robbie, and Alycia, her 7 great grandchildren, her sister Eugenia Bacciocchi, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband Geno, she was predeceased by her sister Anna Anes, and her brother August Jose.
Family and friends will honor and remember Laura’s life by gathering for a time of visitation in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home on Lincoln Street in Framingham on Tuesday, November 21 from 10 to 11 a.m.
A celebration of her life will follow in the funeral home at 11 a.m.
Interment in St. Stephen’s Cemetery.
