Verdini Fastest Flyer at Division 1 Cross-Country Championship

WRENTHAM – The Framingham High girls cross-country team finished 21st out of 23 teams at yesterday’s MIAA Division 1 Cross-Country championship in Wrentham. 

Lowell won the team competition, with Lexington second and Needham High third.

Newton South senior Caroline Barry crossed the finish line first in 18:26.95 minutes.

Framingham freshman Mackenize Verdini was the best of the Flyers yesterday finishing 109th in 22:14.01 minutes.

There were 159 runners in Division 1.

Framingham’s Paige Fisher finished 120th in 22:27.30 minutes. Junior Jenna Riedl finished 121st, in 22:37.88 minures.

  

Sophomore Tess Robinson was fourth overall for the Flyers in 22:50.85 minutes and junior Madelyn Klein was fifith overall for Framingham in 131st place, at 23:09.42 minutes. Sophomore Mariana Kelly also ran for Framingham yesterday.
