Rupert Fastest Mustang at Division 6 Cross-Country Championship

WRENTHAM – Marian High freshman Dartagnan Rupert was the fastest  of the five Mustangs, who competed today, November 11, at the MIAA Division 6 Cross-Country championship.

Rupert finished the course in 20.21 minutes for 93rd place overall. There were 162 runners.

Ipswich senior Kellen Waters won the individual Division 6 title in 16:39.14 minutes.

Bellingham High won the team title. Marian finished 22 out of 24 teams.

Other Marian runners, who competed today, included:

  • Howard Yang, a junior, who finished 95th overall in 20>28 minutes
  • Tony He, a junior, who finished 117th overall in 21:08 minutes
  • Jordan Perry, a sophomore, who finished 125th overall, in 21:29 minutes.
  • Eric Zhang, a junior, who finished 140th overall, in 22:16 minutes.
“A great experience for a young squad today,” said head coach Chris Collins.
“With only 2 runners returning from last years State Squad it was a good learning day with some big improvements,: said Collins about the boys and girls cross-country teams.
