Dear City of Framingham:
Please accept my heartfelt appreciation for the support and love that I have received over the last 6 months. I am proud of myself for getting out there and running a clean, competitive race.
I would like to take this time to formally congratulate the newly elected Framingham School Committee: Beverly Hugo, Rick Finlay, Scott Wadland, Geoff Epstein, Adam Freudberg, Tracy Bryant, Gloria Pasucal, Tiffany Maskell, and Noval Alexander.
I wish you all the best. I have had the opportunity to get to know many of you well, and hope that we have the opportunity to meet again soon. You are a talented and dynamic group!
Congratulations to Cheryl Tully Stoll, George King, Charlie Sisitsky, Adam Steiner, Mike Rossi, Judy Grove, Edguardo Torres, Margareth Sheppard, Dennis Giombetti, Mike Cannon, and Pam Richardson our new City Council.
Thank you and congratulations to Dr. Yvonne Spicer, our first Mayor!
I am encouraged on how our city is going to begin to form on day one!
To all of my supporters: The loving families who hosted signs, wrote letters of support, walked around handing out literature, and your donations have been tremendous. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. To the people of the newest city in the United States (Framingham, MA)-thank you for allowing me the opportunity to participate in this election by forming the charter.
To my family – (and especially my children who have become more civic minded)– I love you all and thank you so much for all you have done to help me.
The friends and knowledge I have gained has been nothing short of amazing….Those that helped me you know who you are, and I will never forget your love and support. Kim Rosenberg and Julie Watt Faqir who both took the day off from work yesterday to help me stand outside in the freezing cold. I appreciate what you did more than you know. I had such a good time with you both – we had the best buffet table in the whole city! Glad we could keep the volunteers and candidates energized with the candy, chips and coffee we provided but I don’t want to see another Swedish Fish candy until next Halloween!
A special thank you to Susan Petroni at the Framingham Source for her coverage of the election, the folks at Metrowest Daily News, Channel 7 News, and NECN all who covered stories of our election and were hanging out at Brophy last night….oh yes, and Mike Croci and his magic bike!
What keeps me going is thinking about all I have gained from this experience… and where I’m headed next!
With love and gratitude,
Sheryl L. Goldstein
