FRAMINGHAM – Sister Helen Fenton, CSJ (Sister Mary Garnier), in her 79th year as a beloved member of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Boston, died Wednesday, November 1, 2017.
Devoted daughter of Clement Beaven and Mary M. (Mears) Fenton and the beloved sister of the late Ann Mulry, Mary Sheehy, Clement Fenton, Joseph Fenton, and Katherine Kelleher. Survived by her many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, and her Sisters in the Congregation.
Formerly missioned as a professor at Regis College in Weston for 26 years; Bentley College for four years; visiting professor at Hampden Sydney College, Virginia; Randolph-Macon College, Lynchburg, Virginia; and lecturer at Radcliffe College, Cambridge. Before her retirement in 2001, Sister Helen ministered in the Business Office of Regis College, Weston, MA.
Visiting hours at Holy Spirit Chapel, Bethany Health Care Center, 97 Bethany Road, Framingham, Monday, November 6, 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. Prayer Service at 10:15 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass and Prayers of Final Commendation at Bethany at 10:30 a.m.
Burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery in Natick. Arrangements by Norton Funeral Home in Framingham.
