FRAMINGHAM – Sheryl L. Porter, 56, a lifelong resident of Framingham, died suddenly on Wednesday, November 1, 2017.
Born in Framingham, she is the daughter of John F. King of Saxonville, and the late Mary B. (Dunn) King.
She was a 1979 graduate of Framingham North High School, and later worked for Sodexo USA in Waltham.
Once her children were born, Sheryl left work to raise her family. She loved all things hockey, and was an avid fan of the Boston Bruins.
Besides her father, she is survived by her beloved husband of 29 years, Kevin M. Porter, her two children, Kelley A. and Steven J. both of Framingham, her brother Scott Frazer & his wife Rebecca of Framingham, her aunt, Phyllis Dunn, her mother-in-law Patricia A. Porter, her sisters-in-law, Donna Konopka & her husband Edward, Karen Clain & her husband Paul, Patti Ann Johnstone & her husband Kenny, her brother-in-law, John C. Porter Jr. & his wife Ronie, and many nieces and nephews. Besides her mother Mary, she was predeceased by her father-in-law, John C. Porter, Sr.
Family and friends will honor and remember Sheryl’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, at 11 Lincoln Street in Framingham on Sunday, November 5 from 2 to 5 p.m.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. George’s Church on School Street in Saxonville, on Monday at 10 a.m.
Interment will follow in Edwards Cemetery in Framingham.
