Marie M. (DeFilippo) Morawski, 99, a longtime resident of Framingham died Tuesday, October 31, 2017.
Born in Hoboken, NJ, she was the daughter of the late John & Lucia (Romanogli) DeFilippo, and the beloved wife of the late Thomas A. Morawski.
Raised and educated in Saxonville, she was a 1937 graduate of Framingham High School.
During WWII, she worked at Telechron Co. in a supervisory capacity.
After the war she married and raised her family in Framingham. She was a longtime hostess at Wallace’s Restaurant, and ended her working career at Deluxe Check Printing. Marie loved people, was a great cook and baker, enjoyed gardening, and was an excellent seamstress.
She is survived by her two daughters, JoAnna Colonnelli & her husband Vincent of Framingham, and LuAnna Goldman & her husband Richard of Framingham, her grandchildren, Beth Ann, Lee Ann, Thomas, Robert, Mary Elizabeth, and Paul, her great grandchildren, Olivia, Robert, Lucas, Nicholas, and Mason, her daughter-in-law, Ellen, and many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband Thomas, she was predeceased by her son Robert, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Family and friends will honor and remember Marie’s life by gathering for visitation in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln Street in Framingham on Saturday November 4h from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m.
Her Funeral Mass will follow in St. George’s Church, 74 School St., Saxonville, at 11 a.m.
Interment St. Stephen’s Cemetery.
