TAUNTON – The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for parts of Eastern Massachusetts, including Framingham until noon on Wednesday.
Moderate to heavy rain is ongoing at a rate of 1 to 2 inches per hour, and the impact could continue through the morning commute, according to the latest alert by the National Weather Service.
Excessive rainfall could lead to flash flooding at some of the faster responding streams and rivers in the region as well as in urban centers.
A flash flood watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
