LETTER: Experience, Knowledge, and the Need To Give Back to Framingham is Why Stefanini Should Be Mayor

Why am I supporting John Stefanini for mayor?

I am a lifelong resident of Framingham who has been actively involved in the community my whole life.

I was brought up to give back to our community and to always try to make it a better place to live in, and John is one of these types of people.

I have great respect for John who lived in the same neighborhood as my grandparents.

I first hand witnessed John always knocking on doors, checking on his neighbors, and offering them assistance when they needed it
Without even being asked too.

For his neighbors he would shovel snow, pick up groceries, and stay engaged in their lives. He has helped immigrants gain status, and other pro bono work as a lawyer, and he does it because he enjoys helping people.

John does the right thing not just when he is expected to such as when he served as our dedicated selectmen and state representative, but doing the right thing is how John lives his everyday life.

I have gotten to know John through all these years and have appreciated all his volunteer work. Helping out the community in every aspect whether it be our seniors, schools parks, funding, etc.

As a member of the School Committee, I can tell you also first hand when you are on an elected board, you have to make difficult decisions and not everyone is going to be happy with the decision especially if it is a financial one.

John has proven with his leadership experience that he works in the best interest of the people and seeks out advice from all stakeholders involved before making decisions.

This is why so many great things were accomplished while John was a selectmen and state representative.

His experience, background, and wealth of knowledge are exactly what we need to lead us in this transition from a town to a city.

In closing, I want to say nobody is perfect, and everybody makes mistakes.

If you own up to your mistakes and apologize for it that goes a long way.

If you have questions reach out to John he is very approachable and will get back to you personally.

Sincerely,

Ricky Finlay
