UPDATED: $5,000 Reward Offered For Ashland Restaurant Fire

ASHLAND – The Massachusetts Fire Marshal Peter J. Ostroskey, Ashland Fire Chief Scott Boothby,  and Ashland Police Chief Craig Davis said the fire at an Ashland restaurant was arson.

The fire started on Wednesday around 5 a.m. at 12 Pond Street.

The fire happened at the Fusion restaurant on Route 126.

“Anyone with information about this fire is asked to contact local fire or police or the statewide Arson Hotline at 1-800-682-9229. All calls are confidential,” said the state’s fire marshal

The Arson Hotline is part of the Arson Watch Reward Program, which provides rewards of up to $5,000 for information to help solve cases.

The program is sponsored by the property and casualty insurance underwriting companies of Massachusetts.

Ashland Fire and Police Departments and Massachusetts State Police assigned to the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
