FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham High School’s Drama Company held its 4th Annual Scarecrow Contest last night.
For the first time, the competition was held at Hanson’s Farm in Framingham, as part of a new partnership between the high school drama company and the historic family farm.
Theatre students were divided into groups and created scarecrows to match productions this fall in Framingham – Mary Poppins at Framingham High, Sesussical at Fuller Middle, Elf at Cameron Middle, and the Addams Family at Walsh Middle.
The scarecrows can be viewed at Hanson’s Farm.
Framingham High’s theatre company and the Framingham High Marching Band are headed to Disney World in April 2018.
The Framingham High School Drama Company and band as part of a fundraising effort is assisting Hanson’s Farm with its annual Haunted hayrides in October. Students will be dressing up and performing at the farm during the hayrides, and Hanson’s will donate $1 for every ticket sold to the theatre company.
Hanson’s haunted hay rides are scheduled for October 6, 7, 14, and 28 from 6 to 10 p.m.
