Worcester Man Arrested After Series of Car Breakins

FRAMINGHAM – A Worcester man was arrested over the weekend and charged with a series of thefts from cars in Framingham.

Colton Murphy, 21, of Elizabeth Circle in Worcester was arrested on Saturday, after a search by Framingham Police, including a Massachusetts State Police K-9 unit. 

Framingham Source readers reported Police were seen searching the Sudbury River near the Central Street bridge on Saturday. They reported Framingham Fire had boats in the river.

He was charged with 11 counts of breaking and entering into a vehicle, three counts each of larceny more than $250, and eight counts each of larceny less than $250.

The vehicles were broken into in the Claudette Circle neighborhood.

A Framingham Source reader Steve Grossman said his vehicle was broken into and 2 laptops were stolen. Source was contacted by a half dozen residents who reported their vehicle was broken into over the weekend.

Framingham Source contacted Framingham Police for additional details on Sunday and Monday, but no one returned our calls or emails.
