Funeral For Framingham Police Officer James B. Finks Monday

FRAMINGHAM – James B. Finks, 67, a longtime Framingham resident died Tuesday, September 5, 2017 after a brief illness.

Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Max & Jeanne (Turner) Finks.

He was a graduate of Framingham North High School, and a proud Navy Veteran.

He was a Patrolman with the Framingham Police Department for 33 years, and a member of the Blue Knights.

A social guy, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, gardening and all Boston sports.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Gail (Turk) Finks, his children, Keith of Brighton, Justin of Washington, D.C., Joanne Haver & her husband William of FL, Tammy Miranda & her husband Ricardo of Framingham, his grandchildren, Lindsey, Kristen, Ryan and Tyler, his mother-in-law, Mary Turk of Natick, his brothers-in law, Steven Turk & his wife Lynnie of Millis, and Gary Turk & his wife Ann of Bellingham,  and several nieces and nephews.  Besides his parents, Jimmy was predeceased by his brother Steven Finks.

Family and friends will honor and remember Jimmy’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St., Framingham, on Sunday, Sept. 10 from 4 to 8 p.m.

His funeral services will be celebrated in the funeral home on Monday, Sept. 11 at 10 a.m.

Interment will be private.
