She was a wonderful, devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister who cherished her family.
Nana, as she was known to everyone, described herself as a homemaker and in this role she had no equal. Her home and heart were always open with a warm meal, a shoulder to cry on and a place to go. She spent summers at “the cottage” in Marblehead and cherished her Sunday drives with her husband. Ann Surro was a true example of endless love and devotion to her family and she will always remain in our hearts.
Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral Mass on Thursday, September 7 at 11 a.m. at Saint Stephen’s Church, 221 Concord Street in Framingham.
Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests memorial donations be made to the Friends of Callahan, 535 Union Avenue in Framingham.
