Framingham State Advertising For Assistant Field Hockey Coach

FRAMINGHAM – Framingham State University is advertising for an assistant field hockey coach.

The University hired a new interim head coach for field hockey last month.

The assistant coach position is a part-time, non-benefited, contractor position not to exceed 18 hours per week.

The primary responsibility of this position is instructing student athletes in the rules and fundamentals of the sport of Field Hockey. This position serves as a designated Title IX responsible employee.

Final employment for all positions at Framingham State University is contingent upon a satisfactory criminal history and sexual offender record check. Recommended finalist will be required to provide specific written authorization to conduct these checks. Framingham State University is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of coaching and/or playing experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences (i.e., students, parents, faculty, staff, alumni, administration and community)
  • Ability to work evening, weekends, and holidays as playing and practice season schedule dictates.
