Worcester Grand Jury Indicts Milford Woman in Crash That Killed Framingham Boy

WORCESTER – A Worcester County grand jury has indicted a Milford woman for her involvement in a fatal crash that killed a Framingham boy on Easter.

A grand jury has indicted Melissa Knight of Milford on charges of leaving the scene of a crash with a death and misleading law enforcement.

Law enforcement arrested Knight in May after an investigation of the Easter Sunday crash that killed Jonathan Loja, 4.

Police said Knight’s SUC struck Loja on Water Street in Milford, when the boy went into the street to get a toy. Blood collected from the bottom of Knight’s Chevy Traverse¬†matched DNA from Loja.

Knight was released on $20,000 bail following her arraignment in May.
