FRAMINGHAM – Marian High School is one of the top 25 Catholic high schools in Massachusetts, according to Niche.com.
The website recently released its 2018 ranking of best Catholic and private high schools nationwide and in Massachusetts. Niche reviewed U.S. Department of Education data well as test scores and ratings collected from Niche users to compile its list. Click here to read more on how Niche calculates its rankings.
Schools that made the list were ranked numerically and assigned grades.
The #1 Catholic school in Massachusetts, according to Niche.com, was the St. Sebastian in Needham.
Making the top 5 included Newton Country Day School, Boston College High School, St. John’s Prep in Danvers, and Montrose School.
Marian High School in Framingham was was ranked #24 and received a grade of an A-minus.
According to Niche, Marian High received an A-minus in academics and in diversity. The school received a B-minus for teachers, college prep and teachers. It received a B for clubs.
The average SAT score is 1170.
The student-teacher ratio is 13-1. The national average is 16-1.
The school recently celebrated its 60th anniversary.
