UPDATED: 3 Framingham Middle Schools in Top 200 in Massachusetts

FRAMINGHAM – Three Framingham middle schools made the cut of the of top 200 middle schools in Massachusetts, according to Niche.com.

The website recently released its 2018 ranking of best middle schools. Niche reviewed U.S. Department of Education data well as test scores and ratings collected from Niche users to compile its list. Click here to read more on how Niche calculates its rankings.

Schools that made the list were ranked numerically and assigned grades.

The #1 middle school in Massachusetts, according to Niche.com, was the Edward W. Brooke Charter School in East Boston.

Middle schools in Roslindale, Lexington, Westford, Wayland, Belmont, Newton, Wellesley and Brookline made the top 10.

The Christa McAuliffe Charter School was ranked #107 and received a grade of an A-minus. According to Niche.com the McAuliffe Charter school is among the 12 best charter middle schools in the Commonwealth.

According to Niche, the McAuliffe Charter school had 83% proficiency in reading and 62% in math. The school has a 10 to 1 student-teacher ratio with 19% of the teachers in their first or second year of teaching.

Walsh Middle School was ranked #121 and received a grade of A-minus.

According to Niche, the Walsh Middle had 77% proficiency in reading and 62% in math. The school has a 10 to 1 student-teacher ratio with 16% of the teachers in their first or second year of teaching.

Cameron Middle School was ranked #189 and received a grade of B-minus.

According to Niche, the Cameron Middle had 68% proficiency in reading and 51% in math. The school has a 10 to 1 student-teacher ratio with 22% of the teachers in their first or second year of teaching.

The third Framingham Public middle school – Fuller Middle – did not make the list.
