PAC Registering For Lendas do Folclore Brasileiro and The Lion King Jr.

FRAMINGHAM – The Performing Arts Center of MetroWest and PROGENTE Connections are offering a new and exciting program for students entering Grades 3-8 who speak Portuguese.

Lendas do Folclore Brasileiro (Legends from Brazilian Folklore) will run from August 15 – August 18, with a performance on August 18 at 6 p.m. in Harris Hall at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 3 Maple St, Framingham. All songs and the script will be in Portuguese.

The Performing Arts Center of MetroWest still has a few spots open for the summer 2017 theater program workshop The Lion King, Jr. This workshop runs Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. from July 31 – August 11, with a performance on August 11 at 7:00 p.m. at Dennison Memorial Hall, Boston Church of Christ, 214 Concord St, Framingham. Students entering late will receive pro-rated tuition.

Pre-registration is required for all workshops. All students will be cast and have the opportunity to work on costumes, sets and props.

Discounts and limited scholarships are available. Workshops are subject to change or cancellation.

heater and Music Director, Eliomar Nascimento, is available for interviews, in English or Portuguese, regarding this program. Nascimento has a Masters degree in Vocal Performance from Boston University, as well as a Certificate Diploma from the Opera Institute also at Boston University. Nascimento also brings his musical experience as a faculty member for the Young Artists Vocal Program for Boston University Tanglewood Institute in Lenox.
