5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: Wednesday, August 2

1  The Framingham Public Library is expanding its free lunch program this summer in August to include films to be showed to attendees. Today there is a free lunch for all kids ages 5-18 from 11 a.m. to noon at the main Framingham Library. Afterwards, there will be a screening of Bill Nye, the Science Guy.

2. At 2 p.m. today, the Framingham Public Library will have a free screening of the Lego batman movie. There are big changes brewing in Gotham, and, if he wants to save the city from the Joker’s hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others, and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up. The movie is Rated PG.

3.  New to the library is chair yoga. At 2:30 p.m. Vicki Brunelle will offer the program from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Christa McAuliffe branch library. Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga practiced while sitting in a chair.  No experience necessary. Brunelle, who has owned her own yoga studio for 18 years, has been teaching for more than 2 decades.

4. August 2 is National Coloring Book Day.

5. The Framingham Conservation Commission is scheduled to meet tonight at 7 in the Memorial Building.
