Born and raised in Framingham, he was the son of Ralph and Dorothy (Martin) Buliung.
He graduated from Framingham High School class of 1944, where he excelled in football.
At the age of 17, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and courageously served with distinction and honor in the Pacific theater during WWII.
After the war, he attended and played football at Mohawk College.
He married the Love of his life, Charlotte Bourette, with whom he shared 68 wonderful years of marriage. They enjoyed family and traveled the world.
After a stint as a foreman at the Framingham General Motors plant, he embarked on a 30 plus year career of faithful and dedicated public service as a Framingham Firefighter.
Ralph, Charlotte and family enjoyed summers in Dennis and Mashpee on Cape Cod and winters in Cape Canaveral and Vero Beach Florida.
He is survived by his wife Charlotte, sisters Nancy Devereaux and Judy Hoss, daughter Susan and husband Robert Flaherty, son Ralph Jules Buliung III recently pre-deceased him by a few days, daughter Robin and husband Mark Galante, five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

A Graveside service will be held on Wednesday July 19, at 11 a.m. Lakeview Cemetery on Commonwealth Road in Wayland.
