FRAMINGHAM – A Framingham man, 24, has pleaded guilty to charges of sexually exploited 150 boys by posing as a teenage girl online and exchanging nude photos and videos with teen boys.
The man, according to the U.S. Attorney’s office, convinced the boys to send him nude photos and videos of themselves.
The U.S Attorney’s office said Curtis Simoneau, 24, of Framingham, entered the plea of guilty Monday, June 12, to federal charges of coercion and enticement of a minor and possession of child pornography. He is scheduled to be sentenced on October 2.
Posing as “Lauren James” via KiK Messenger, a mobile instant messaging app, Simoneau began communicating with a boy, now 13, in 2015, according to the U.S. Attorney’s office.
Simoneau told the boy he was a 14-year-old girl living in Maine and offered to exchange nude images with him. The two exchanged photos and videos. The boy introduced Simoneau to one of his friends, who also exchanged images.
Law enforcement through an investigation identified “Lauren James” as Simoneau.
Last August, Police searched Simoneau’s home and discovered more than 1,000 videos and more than 700 child pornography photos of 150 boys.
Framingham Police had arrested Simoneau in 2010, after emailing child pornography to an undercover police officer. He was convicted in a Massachusetts state court of possession of child pornography and placed on probation.
