FRAMINGHAM — Framingham Firefighters came to the rescue of the Framingham High girls lacrosse team on Thursday afternoon.
The girls were scheduled to play Brookline High at Phil Read Field at 3:45 p.m., but with temperatures in the 90s, the artifcal turf field was well over 100 degrees, said Framingham athletics Director Paul Spear.
So Engine 2 came to Framingham High and soaked the field so the girls could get the game in against the Warriors.
Even better, Framingham defeated Brookline 15-9.
